Hive Power-Up Day: A small step to my Hive goals

It became my routine to power up every first day of the month. Since I started Hive last December 2020, I did not miss any hive power-up day. On March's power-up day, I committed myself to reach 1000 HP before the next power-up day. Fortunately, I was able to achieve 1275 HP, which surpasses my goal in March. I am planning to have 2000 HP by the end of April.

For April's power-up day, I will power-up at least 74.438 HP. My power-up may not be that large, and I am at a slow pace in staking HP to become a whale in the future, but at least I made small steps and progress towards that goal. It might take a long while, but I am enjoying this journey.

To start my April goal toward 2000 HP, I have 1350.385 HP to begin. I try to increase my posting and engagement activities on the platform. I will reinvest back some of my HBD to liquid Hive so that I can power up at May's power-up day.

I love to receive hive-bee badges to check what I did accomplish. Here are my little bee badges for the last three months:

Aside from receiving hive badges, power-up has a lot of benefits. Here are some of it:

  1. You can gain interest from your HP, which is about 3.16%. It is like doing time deposits in a bank, but more rewards in return.

  2. You can delegate or lease your HP to earn more curation rewards. There are communities or tribes that payout better APR for your delegations.

  3. It gives us a better influence on the platform. You can upvote with a higher value to post, which you support.

  4. It gives us higher resource credit for us to do all activities in Hive. With higher resource credit, you can't be experiencing the inability to engage or post.

Furthermore, you can also create a post and join the #HivePUD monthly contest. The hive power-up day is an initiative by @traciyork and some members of the community. There are prices for you to win like liquid Hive, delegation, and SBI. Check out the Hive Power Up day.

Here is a summary of the rule:

  1. You should power-up on April 1st at least 10 HP.
  2. Your reputation score must be between 39 to 70.
  3. You must have at least 100 HP, but not more than 8000 HP.
  4. You should write a post about your power up on April 1st with the tags #HivePUD (international) and #HPUD(Spanish).
