From a far

by @juecoree

Today, I’ve done almost nothing—
read a little, write few lines,
and watch you at a distance.
Few days ago, I’ve wrote
a letter to touch your
heart with uncanny words.
Our eyes meet at the hallway
but can afford to say hello,
too afraid to go out
within my shadows.
Now I’m looking at you,
graceful hips, lofty hairs, rosy checks,
kissable lip, and daring eyes.
As I stand beneath the sky:
Clouds of gray, pale and cold.
As rain slowly soaks me wet,
I don’t want to say ‘bout
how cold ‘tis right now, how quite,
I want to stare at you for a while.
You are a staircase above,
few steps ahead. Yes! Eve.
Today, I see you dance
and how tenderly the light is
moving around your silhouette.
When will my hands touch your hips,
and sway to the rains’ beat?
